To the left, we see the unedited, raw and unfiltered image that has been circulating the Internet after being posted by a member of family on April 4th 2021. Khloe Kardashian, 36, is seen posing in a leopard print bikini by the pool in sunny California, enjoying the easter weekend with her family.
The photo was published on social media without authorization by Khloe; causing legal action to be taken. The Kardashian family and their team have made efforts to stop to spread of the image and are working to get it removed from the Internet completely. Some fans who have circulated this image on social media has experienced being locked out of their account or blocked from certain platforms. They have also been sent requests for the image to be taken down from Los Angeles law firm Lavely & Singer PC.
Many fans are concerned about this response from the Kardashian family, especially as Khloe is seen to be a body positive and fitness advocate; it looks like she does not want a raw image of her body online that has not been heavily airbrushed or touched, which is what we are used to seeing on her platforms.
Khloe Kardashian finally decided to break her silence on

April 8th on Instagram. She went on Instagram live and showed off her raw and unedited body, shortly posting screenshots from the live and a four slide written message about her struggles with body image, the pressures face from society as a star in the public eye and advice on self-love to
fans who may be struggling with the body image issues as well.
The first slide read: "Hey guys, this is me and my body unretouched and unfiltered. The photo that was posted this week is beautiful. But as someone who has struggled
with body image her whole life, when someone takes a photo of you that isn't flattering in bad lighting or doesn't capture your body the way it is after working so hard to get it to this point – and then shares it to the world - you should have every right to ask for it to not be shared – regardless of who you are."
Following, she mentioned the struggles she has faced from being in the public eye, as society seems to compare her to her sisters, where she claims she has been labelled as “the ugly sister”, “the fat sister” and recognising that the public questions her biological father’s identity linking it to the reason to looking different to her sisters. She adds: “it’s almost unbearable trying to live up to the standards that the public have all set for me”

Khloe claims that she uses the hate she has been receiving over years of being in the public eye as motivation, however she expresses that her hard work is not recognised and is disregarded for being “paid for” through surgery. For somebody who is a fitness advocate and started multiple companies revolving around living and leading a healthy lifestyle, being disregarded for her hard work and dedication can be frustrating.
She shares that the negative comments have taken a toll on her mental health, however it is a challenge she has faced every day since a young age and she has found an outlet for dealing with such comments and turn it into something positive.
In the last slide of her four-part message on her Instagram post, she manages to spread the message of acceptance and positivity to her 136 million followers on the platform:
“For those else who feel the constant pressure of not ever feeling perfect enough, I want you to know I see you and I understand. Everyday, I am told by my family and friends who love me that I am beautiful but I know that it needs to be believed from within. We are all unique and perfect in our own way. Whichever way one chooses to be seen. I have realised that we cannot continue to live life trying to fit into the perfect mold of that others have set for u, just do you and make sure your heart is happy".

The message has received positive response from fans, friends and family of Khloe Kardashian and it is important for her to use her large platform to spread positive messages, which she does often. Supportive comments from sisters Kim Kardashian include, “I love you Khloe”, “yes! You beautiful, strong, HEALTHY queen [heart emoji] from sister Kendall Jenner and “love you & your heart” from singer Ariana Grande.
An important message following this article is to raise awareness on the struggles with body image and positivity. If you are struggling with these issues, please speak up. It is important to remember that social media is NOT REAL and comparison is the thief of joy.
